Kalshi Volume Report: British Open, MLB, UFC 318 Are Week's Top Markets
Sports accounted for almost 75% of all trading at the prediction market last week
The British Open was the biggest driver of volume at Kalshi last week, even with Scottie Scheffler’s domination of the final round.
The golf tournament accounted for more than a quarter of all trading for the week of July 14-20. Sports made up almost three-quarters of volume.
Scheffler’s win was never much in doubt on Sunday, but there was also significant trading on which players would finish in the top 10.

The top 20 markets accounted for more than 90% of all trading on Kalshi. Trading on everything else at Kalshi remains minimal, despite more than a thousand available markets.
Outside of golf, baseball and mixed martial arts were big drivers of volume:
Single-game Major League Baseball betting (KXMLBGAME), betting on MLB’s Home Run Derby (KXMLBHRDERBY) and the All-Star Game (KXMLBASGAME) accounted for more than 20% of all volume.
Betting on matches at UFC 318 accounted for more than 13% of all volume.

Four of the top 20 markets involved cryptocurrency: Bitcoin and Ethereum price and price range today at x time (KXBTCD, KXBTC, KXETHD, KXETH).
